Northland Promotes Suzanne Abair to Chief Operating Officer

Abair served as Northland General Counsel for 12 years

NEWTON, MA (May 16, 2016)Northland Investment Corporation, one of the top multifamily owner and operators in the U.S., has promoted Suzanne Abair to serve as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.  In her new role, Abair will oversee day-to-day management of all aspects of the company’s operations and play a leading role in setting and monitoring the company’s vision and strategy.

During her twelve year tenure as General Counsel, Abair oversaw all legal matters for the company including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, fund formation, and litigation.  Abair also played a major role in developing risk management strategies that helped position the company for future growth.

Abair was a Partner at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo P.C., where she represented Northland in private practice for seven years before joining Northland as General Counsel.  Prior to that, Abair was an Associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in New York. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Ithaca College, magna cum laude, and her Juris Doctor at SUNY Buffalo School of Law, summa cum laude.  Abair resides in Lexington with her spouse Kat MacDonald and their two children and is an active participant in local politics and community organizations lexapro cost.
